PET bottles
The plastic that we used to manufacture soft drink bottles, is called polyethylene
terephthalate (PET). PET is a polyester with a phenylene group in the chain. This makes a
stiff chain and is the cause of PET's high glass transition and melting temperature and
modulus. Its chemical resistance is similar to Nylon's. PET does crystallize, but in many
applications the crystallinity is minimized by a rapid quenching. In others, such as fiber
production, maximum crystallinity is desirable. PET has high moisture resistance, and when
made into a fiber, the resulting clothes are crease resistant (the polyester 70s!!!). One
of the main applications of PET now is in soft drink bottles.

PET is
classified as #1 Plastic. We have 3 PET manufacturing line in our factory and
manufactered bottles used directly in bottling line without any transporting and
pollution. Old PET plastics can be recycled into carpeting, fiberfill, strapping, non-food
bottles and containers, geotextiles, surfboards, audio cassette cases and scouring pads to
name a few.
